Vladimir "El Chapo" Putin, a nuclear-armed tsar
Putin is a tough Russian cookie giving a proverbial slavic beating to Ukraine and its people. Putin and his comrade soldiers are committing war crimes by torturing, raping, and murdering civilians. Putin is arguably the richest and most powerful white man in the world commanding the largest country on Earth and the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons.
Putin is not alone. In addition to millions idolizing him in Russia, he is supported by Russian strategic allies including Iran, North Korea, and China. Putin's dream is to Make Russia Great Again (MaRGA). His people support him wanting Russia to become the world's most premier superpower.
Of Pain and Pleasure
It is painfully disgusting to see rampant war crimes in 2022. We wish that there would be an easy way to defeat Putin and his allies. We thought that we were such an advanced human civilization by now. Yet the news about the Russian war in Ukraine reminds us that we are just a bunch of storytelling primates controlled by the pain / pleasure mechanism of the matrix simulation that we call life.
Putin and his people are humans motivated by fear and greed. What else is new in humanity? The greed relates to wanting to expand Russian size and power through illiberal communist ideals. The fear relates to wanting to contain the expansion of Western size and power (liberal and democratic ideals). Putin is killing Ukrainians to impose his own version of a slavic Russian empire.
The blacks of Europe
Slavics are the blacks of Europe. Slavics were the premier slaves of their times. Centuries before Africans dominated the global human slave market, slavics were the prime caucasian slaves dominating the European and Middle Eastern slave markets.
As we all know, the word slave derives from the noun Slavic. All throughout antiquity and the middle ages, slavic people were the slaves of choice. Russia itself was founded by slave traders. Viking traders settled around Kiev in modern day Ukraine to establish a profitable slave trading post out of which Russia was formed. They also traded wood because it was plentiful, and animal furs because the region is cold as frozen fudge.
Russian greed
Russia is the biggest country by land mass in the world. Russia did not get to its size by selling girl scout cookies on Sundays. Russians are tough cookies. All those centuries trading slavic slaves and keeping serfdom with indentured servants in the harsh cold winter land generated a tough Russian ethnicity. Russia got to its size by invading territories and killing people. Most other powerful nations in the world, including our very own United States, became what they are today by waging brutal wars on neighbors so we are not judging Russia's past.
Today, however, the world is in shock seeing Russian soldiers commit war crimes in Ukraine. Yet this is more of the same and we should not be surprised. Human history is a tale of bloody wars where a set of primates kill others to steal their property. That is exactly what is going on today in Ukraine. Perhaps a difference is that we thought that we were better than that by now. We are also seeing it on video, sometimes on live streaming, due to advances in telecommunications.
Bloody wars
World history is a bloody Mary cocktail of humans killing other humans to steal their property. That is exactly what is going on in Ukraine right now. What else is new? And black people should note that for the most part of history, the property being stolen included humans to be sold as slaves.
Blacks in America are culturally brainwashed into believing that blacks are the only descendants of slaves. History shows otherwise. Slavery was a established socio economic institution throughout human history in all continents of the world. Masters and slaves were of the same race initially. The chapter of caucasian masters over black slaves was the last chapter of human slavery, not the first. Human slavery is as old as agriculture itself. The first slaves were the men of the losing side of bloody wars. The losers were forced into slavery to work for free.
World history can be seen as an account of humans waging bloody wars, killing and enslaving other humans. We all come from that bloodshed. The national histories that we are indoctrinated to glorify so much are just one-sided accounts of brutal wars. We are the descendants of the winners and losers of those bloody wars. We are the beneficiaries or the victims of the world order established by wars. Nothing has changed in millennia. Nothing will ever change as long as we remain being human beings trapped in the pain/pleasure matrix of life.
Putin will lose
Putin showed his cards to the world. Everyone knows what Putin is holding and what he wants. Everyone knows now that Putin is not that smart and that he was probably outsmarted by the Chinese. Ultimately, the collective hurt ego of Russian communists sobering up to the reality of being "owned" now by Chinese communists will end Putin's regime. The next Russian strongman may be even worse, and such is life.
Up until the invasion of Ukraine, Putin had been incredibly successful. Putin was exactly what his Russian comrades wanted him to be. Putin was the strongman keeping the country forcefully together under an iron fist while increasing gradually Russian power in the world. Now, Putin has turned Russia into a pariah in the eyes of the West, and an isolated puppet in the pockets of China.
Russian communists
Russians are communists. Russia is an eclectic mix of descendants of slave traders and enslaved indented servants. The Western democratic ideal of "one moron, one vote" does not weave well in the slave fabric of Russian society.
Russians want a strongman enforcing domestic order like an Olympic coach eager to conquer the rest of the world. Russian society has always worked that way. A few oligarchs controlling the masses under the fear of repression and the greed of conquering the world.
The Trump card
For one reason or another, Trump was Putin's strategic puppet. When Putin had Trump as President of the United States, Putin was holding his punches against Ukraine. Trump was doing the work for Putin. Trump was withholding funding for Ukraine. Trump was defunding NATO. Trump was close to pulling the United States out of NATO. Trump was a strategic asset for Putin.
After Trump's colossal defeat and failed coup attempt, NATO and the West became stronger. Putin became desperate. Putin checked with Xi Jinping, and soon after ordered the invasion of Ukraine. Perhaps Putin thought that it would go as easy as the taking of Crimea. Somehow Putin failed to realize that Ukraine had been preparing for the invasion since then.
Chinese waters
Xi Jinping backed Putin's bid for Ukraine. China had nothing to lose and much to gain. China could test the waters for free to see how a land grab "special military operation" would play out in the 2020s. Just as Russian communists are obsessed with reclaiming Ukraine, Chinese communists are obsessed with reclaiming Taiwan. Now that the "special military operation" isolated Russia from the rest of the rich world, Russia's economy is in the pockets of China.
Waking up to a Russia without McDonalds, Starbucks, Apple and many other American and Western commercial stuff is not what will bring down Putin. Many Russians will be happy to see less Western consumerism in their lives. However, waking up to the reality of being in China's pocket for the next 25 years will piss off many Russians.
The long game
What is the solution to the Russia-Ukraine war? The best move for the West is continue supporting Ukraine's self defense by providing strategic weapons and cutting economic ties with Putin's Russia. The West should communicate to Russia that economic ties will only be re-established after Putin leaves power and is held accountable for war crimes.
Europe needs to continue investing in sustainable energy away from Russian fossil fuels. The fossil fuel economy enriches Russia and accelerates the global warming that also enriches Russia by opening the arctic ocean. The United States needs to continue investing in sustainable energy and should stop buying Made in China shit at Walmart and Amazon.
The Ukrainians know the Russians better than anyone else. They need to think what pressure points and incentives will facilitate a regime change in Russia. As always in Russia, change will come internally once the country realizes that yet another promising tsar failed in its bid to conquer the world. Putin will be brought down by his own Russian people. You can bet on it.
What do you think?
