Mastodon

Mastodon is the new Twitter. Check it out. Read the rules. If you agree, open an account and give it a try. Many users are leaving Twitter after it was acquired and raided by Elon Musk. The richest man on Earth is controversial to say the least. By becoming a conservative political activist, Elon Musk has attracted a lot of hate. To some extent, the richest man on Earth seems to have a negative goodwill by now. Go figure.

Haters gonna hate. You can be Jesus Christ and many people are going to hate you. Some will follow, and as a consequence some will hate. That is how goes with humans, the emotional storytelling primates (ESPs)  ruling the world. 

Humans are emotional creatures. Emotions come first, and reasons follow. Hate is a common human emotion that derives from fear. There are two basic emotions controlling humans: fear and greed. Humans are greedy for pleasure, and fearful of pain. 

Humans hate what they fear will give them pain or take their pleasures away. When it comes to rich people, humans can get to hate them if they think that rich folks are taking away opportunities or using their wealth to abuse others. That seems to the case about Elon Musk. People hate (and envy) that he seems to use his wealth to abuse others.

For many years, Musk used his Twitter popularity to bully and abuse others. Elon got so "high" off his Twitter feed that he ended up wasting $44 Billion acquiring the company. Twitter is quickly becoming worthless under Musk. It would take a miracle for Twitter to be what it used to be. We don't believe in miracles. Twitter is now an ordinary forum like many others. 

Mastodon is promising to take Twitter's place in the minds and "hearts" of those who used to love Twitter for its independent communication flow. It's impossible to tell if Mastodon will succeed, but is is easy to predict that within the next 6 months Mastodon will see an explosive growth.

Politics is the best sport on Earth. Democracy is not perfect; it's simply a substitute for war. For democracy to work, the loser of the contest must accept defeat. All sitting presidents of the United States who have lost elections while in power have accepted defeat except one, Trump.
