Will Smith Putin Trump

Are powerful men immune to punishment these days?  No.  They are probably more vulnerable than ever.  Hence the rage and despair.

Welcome to TakeSlap, a defeat and glory based inspired on Will Smith's infamous assault on Chris Brown.

By the way, was this slapping incident staged?  Was this all a publicity stunt?

The questions above about a potential publicity stunt are being floated around.  What do you think?  Some say that Chris knew the slap was coming and embraced for impact.  Some say that Will's shouting "Keep my wife out of your f### mouth" was just to make the stunt credible.  After all, they are Hollywood actors capable of putting a realistic performance together on stage and in camera.

The more information that we have, the less we seem to know.  Should we call that the paradox of information?  Is that what is so confusing about surviving the information age?

Take Putin's Russia, for example. Information is controlled by the government to control the minds of the populace.  Take Trump Republicans as another example.  No matter how much "truth" comes out, alternative facts trump around.

What liberal thinkers fail to realize is that the masses do not want the truth.  The masses want pleasure.  People want to feel good. We all wired to avoid pain and seek pleasure.  That is how our ancestors survived.  The seek pleasure / avoid pain "trait" survived in us.  We inherited it and need to live with it.

When the truth becomes painful for the untrained mind, alternative facts become attractive and kind.  Politicians are masters at the art of inflicting pain and promising pleasure.  On one side of the political spectrum, for example, they may inflict pain by portraying a world where white man privilege is eroding.  They can sell returning to racism as the pleasant solution.  On the other side of the spectrum, they can inflict pain by portraying a reality where "minorities" are mistreated and where the rich enjoy an unfair advantage.

What do you think?  How are politicians pushing your buttons these days?  Do you see any correlation between Will Smith, Putin, and Trump?  Let us know.  We'd love to hear from you.

Mastodon

Mastodon is the new Twitter. Check it out. Read the rules. If you agree, open an account and give it a try. Many users are leaving Twitter after it was acquired and raided by Elon Musk. The richest man on Earth is controversial to say the least. By becoming a conservative political activist, Elon Musk has attracted a lot of hate. Hate is a common human emotion that derives from fear. There are two basic emotions controlling humans: fear and greed. Humans are greedy for pleasure, and fearful of pain.  Hu...

Great Replacement

Great Replacement vs Great Awakening The Great Replacement is the observation that a segment of the American political left wants to control the Nation politically by replacing American born white voters with nonwhite immigrants. The Great Awakening is the counter observation that a segment of the American political right wants to control the Nation by instigating white rage and white supremacy. Both observations hold true in the eyes of their respective beholders. This is still the classic North vs South conflict in America. There is a lot of money to be made keeping our Nation together and avoiding a second civil war.   TakeSlap serves spicy food for thought. We toss words together to slap you into innovative thinking.
