facebook twitter

Twitter is the new facebook. Both social media platforms are doomed to fail. They will not go away or out of business completely, but their bubbles will continue deflating over the years. The technology is easy to replicate. Their owners, or prospective owner in the case of Twitter, are more hated than admired. The value proposition is becoming more negative every day.

Facebook and Twitter both peaked a long time ago. They will never ever be in the future what they were in the past. These platforms are old school technology by now plus have a negative goodwill forecast. Facebook for sure already has a negative goodwill in the United States. Twitter does not have it yet, but once it is acquired by Elon Musk, any positive goodwill will evaporate into dust.

For both facebook and Twitter, their best days are in the rear view mirror. Smart investors should avoid them at all cost. The potential best bet is to short these stocks. Buyers should move on onto greener pastures.

There is a lot of potential on decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) running social media platforms. It may be a few years before DAOs can emerge out of the crypto related bust though. Patience is a virtue in everything related to blockchain and crypto. Chances are that Web3 will eventually materialize. Even the metaverse, on which Zuckerberg bet the farm too early, will most likely materialize in the future. Yet we are a few years away.

That is the problem with investing. It takes time and patience. In terms of facebook and twitter resurfacing from ashes like a phoenix that is possible, but not likely. It is more likely that blockchains and crypto products may finally find stability in the marketplace than seeing facebook or twitter going higher in the future.

Best case scenario for facebook and twitter is to remain viable companies similar to Coca Cola and Philip Morris. Their products kill and are awful, but are kept alive by addicts and third world consumers. Facebook and twitter will remain popular in third world countries, and will remain a necessity for those trapped in their dopamine loops.

Is Putin white?

[This post was updated on May 6, 2020.] Is Putin white?  Conservatives and white supremacists are having a Putin problem these days. The standard convention is that the white race is good unless it is trash or mentally ill. Browns are terrorists, illegal immigrants, or both. Blacks are thugs. Asians are too many. Putin became a war criminal and is turning into Hitler. Conservatives and white supremacists don't know what to do about their secret love for the white boy. Some conservatives are dumb enough to blame Ukraine, or even imply that the war is fake. The only recourse for white supremacists is to expel Putin from the sacred white race. Return to office: a blessing for mediocre employees

Post-COVID Return to Office: meritocracy of mediocrity  The post-COVID Return to Office (RTO) transition brings great employment opportunities for mediocre employees.  Many top performers want to keep the productive freedom discovered during the COVID pandemic. Top performers treasure the freedom of working from anywhere, and are good enough to find jobs that allow that.  That leaves management stuck in the office with leftover mediocre employees.  TakeSlap offers spicy food for thought.
